Scientifically-based Learning Materials Aligned with National Curriculum
At the core of JigawaUNITE’s structured pedagogy approach are scientifically-based teacher guides and pupil-centred materials that are proven to elevate learning outcomes. These high-quality, teacher guides and pupil materials are aligned to the national curriculum and designed based on insights from thousands of hours of research and development on what works best to maximise learning. The teacher guides contain lesson plans that provide the necessary structure and pedagogical support for teachers to lead a world-class lesson. The lesson materials cover all curriculum-mandated subjects, and include lessons that strengthen the core foundational literacy and numeracy skills necessary for pupils to master the content in the national curriculum.
Teacher Training, Coaching, and Ongoing Professional Development
JigawaUNITE believes that a great education begins with a great teacher. The programme will enable existing government teachers to deliver impactful learning gains. The training will focus on core skills for teacher success such as content delivery, behaviour management techniques, effective teaching strategies, use of digital monitoring tools, etc.

Coaching
Data-driven coaching ensures that every teacher and school leader receives constant feedback and reinforcement of the skills that help them become stronger educators and administrators.
360-degree Support Teams
Strong operational support is critical for the success of any programme. JigawaUNITE has put systems in place to ensure that all members of the school ecosystem deliver the programme successfully.
The support team ensures that at every school, all of the conditions are in place for learning. This includes operational factors (Is there a teacher assigned to every classroom? Does every teacher have a tablet?). It also includes performance indicators (What percentage of lessons are teachers delivering each day? Are teachers taking attendance for their classrooms?).
A team of School Auditors review school operations both in person and remotely on a regular basis to ensure that all schools maintain an environment conducive to learning. A team of specially trained Schools Supervisors checks in with schools daily, and visits in-person every other week to ensure that these conditions are met.They ensure that lesson delivery meets the standards by providing real-time feedback and coaching.
A quality Assurance team audits 5% of schools everyday. A specialised resolution team is also deployed for centralised data analytics, telephonic/electronic support and issue tracking. They are readily available for rapid support and instant resolutions of any day-to-day challenges faced by JigawaUNITE schools.
Innovative Technology in Classrooms and Management Systems
In JigawaUNITE classrooms, teachers use custom-designed tablets to access digital teacher guides with high-quality lesson content, digital academic schedules, attendance tracking software, assessment marking tools, and pupil performance data. The tablets ensure that every minute of the school day is used to maximise learning. The tablets also track key performance indicators such as lesson completion rates pupil and teacher attendance, and pupil performance, which are critical for transparent and ongoing monitoring of learning. These indicators are digitally tracked by school leaders and administrators using custom-designed mobile and web-based applications. These applications enable data-driven decision-making and provision of targeted support that ensure continuous improvement of learning in JigawaUNITE schools.
The technology platform of JigawaUNITE is purpose-built for low-infrastructure settings, ensuring effectiveness in the most remote locations with low and infrequent electricity and low-speed data access.
